Derailed Trains of Thought was started in 2010 to share thoughts on storytelling for the creator and consumer. For over a hundred hours, hosts Nick Hayden and Timothy Deal have shared practical and philosophical insights about the craft, criticism, and purpose of storytelling in its various forms.

Nick Hayden
Nick is a writer, a teacher, a youth leader, and a father. His writing work includes three published novels (with more to come), co-writing multiple webfiction series, and posting over 150 flash fictions on his author's website.
Timothy Deal
Tim has worn a variety of job titles over the years including videographer, legal assistant, librarian, and teacher. His creative interests include writing, acting, filmmaking, and of course, podcasting.
